During the visit, we’ll get to know you and your pets, discuss your needs, and walk you through how dog walking or pet sitting works with PetPocketBook, our secure scheduling and reporting platform.

  • Rin’s Den proudly serves homes in the following Northeast San Antonio zip codes: 78258, 78259, 78260, 78261, and 78232. If your home is outside these areas, we may still be able to provide services on a case-by-case basis.

  • At Rin’s Den, we currently provide care exclusively for dogs and cats. Each visit is tailored to your pet’s personality, needs, and comfort, whether it’s a playful pup or a cuddly cat.

  • Scheduling and payments are all handled through PetPocketBook, our secure client portal. Once you’re set up, you can easily request visits, communicate with your caregiver, manage payments, and even view detailed visit reports and photos so you always know how your pets spent their time.

  • Yes! Rin’s Den provides dog walking and pet sitting services seven days a week. Visits scheduled before 8:00 am, after 7:00 pm, or on weekends include a small additional fee to ensure your pets still receive safe, attentive, and personalized care.

  • Our most requested visit is the 30-minute dog walk. It’s a great way to give pups the exercise and mental stimulation they need while you’re away, helping them stay happy, healthy, and engaged. During this time, we focus on fun, safe exploration and play tailored to your dog’s personality and energy level, giving them a break from the day-to-day routine. Many pet parents find it’s the perfect balance of activity and attention for their dogs.

  • Invoices are billed weekly on the Monday following services rendered. Clients can choose auto-pay for convenience, or pay manually. If a payment is not received within 5 days of the invoice, a late fee may be applied for each day it remains unpaid. All payments are processed securely through PetPocketBook, keeping billing simple and reliable.

  • Yes! Most Rin’s Den visits take place while pet parents are away. During your Meet & Greet, you’ll provide access instructions, and we’ll ensure your home is safe and secure after every visit. If key return is needed, we’ll arrange that with you in advance.

  • Your pet’s safety always comes first. During extreme weather conditions — such as heavy rain, lightning, excessive heat, or icy conditions — we may adjust the length or structure of the visit to keep everyone safe and comfortable.

    For example, walks may be shortened and replaced with indoor enrichment or potty breaks as needed. You’ll always be notified if any changes are made.

  • Pet sitting visits are flexible and tailored to your pet’s routine. Visits can include potty breaks, playtime, feeding, fresh water refills, medication administration, and litter scooping for cats — just let us know what your pet needs!

  • Yes — Rin’s Den is fully insured and bonded to help protect both your pets and your home. All caregivers have passed comprehensive background checks and are certified in Pet CPR & First Aid, so you can feel confident your pets are in safe, capable hands.

  • We kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a visit. If a service is canceled after 8:00 am on the day of the scheduled visit, a 30% fee may apply, and for cancellations made within 2 hours of the scheduled service, the full service fee may be charged. These guidelines help us keep everything running smoothly so we can provide the best care for your pet and stay on top of our schedule for all our families.

  • Yes — for visits where your pet is home alone, we’ll need a secure way to enter. This could be a key, a lockbox, or a code — whichever works best for you. For long-term pet sitting, we typically arrange a temporary copy of your key if no other secure option is available, and it will be returned once your visits are complete. Every visit is handled with care and attention to safety, so you can relax knowing your pets and home are protected.
